Objective
To conceptualize and execute a culturally rooted retail activation that spotlighted homegrown Emirati brands while creating a meaningful connection between local creators and mall audiences. The activation aimed to go beyond traditional retail by positioning Emirati entrepreneurship, creativity, and craftsmanship within a premium mall environment, driving both visibility and commercial opportunity for participating brands.
Strategy
Cultural retail positioning: Framed the activation as a celebration of Emirati creativity, bringing together a curated mix of local brands across fashion, accessories, lifestyle, and artisanal products to reflect authenticity and diversity.
Curated vendor ecosystem: Carefully selected and onboarded Emirati-owned businesses to ensure quality, originality, and alignment with the overall brand narrative, creating a cohesive marketplace experience rather than a fragmented retail set-up.
Design and spatial storytelling: Developed a clean, modern retail layout that balanced traditional Emirati identity with contemporary aesthetics, ensuring strong visual merchandising, clear navigation, and an inviting customer journey within the mall environment.
On-ground experience management: Oversaw daily operations, vendor coordination, and customer flow, ensuring consistency in presentation, service quality, and engagement across all participating brands.
Stakeholder alignment: Worked closely with mall management, vendors, and operational teams to ensure smooth execution, compliance with mall standards, and seamless integration into the broader retail ecosystem.
